Personal Profile

Chen Kequan, Doctor, Professor. In 2009, Professor Chen obtained a   doctor's degree in engineering from Nanjing Tech University; From 2009 to   2010, he engaged in postdoctoral research at Akita Prefectural University,   Japan; Since 2011, he has undertaken the teaching and conducted scientific   research in the College of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering of   Nanjing Tech University. At present, the research directions include the   discovery and rapid transformation of new enzymes, multi enzyme assembly, new   functional materials, immobilized enzymes and cells, process enhancement of   bioreactors, and so on. Professor Chen has launched a lot of research work in   the biosynthesis of amino acids and their derivatives, organic acids, bio   nylon materials, energetic materials, etc.

In recent years, Professor Chen has obtained 1 Second Prize of the   Technological Invention Award of the Ministry of Education, 1 Second Prize of   the Technological Invention Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry   Federation, 1 CIESC Hou Debang Science and Technology Youth Award, as well as   10 authorized national invention patents. Professor Chen has undertaken a   number of scientific research projects of the National Natural Science   Foundation of China and the National Key Research & Development Plans,   and has also cooperated with many enterprises such as Covestro (German),   China National Offshore Oil Corporation and COFCO Corporation.
