In the afternoon of Oct. 9^th, Prof. NIU Shengjie (Vice President) paid a visit to the international students' dormitory and conducted a site investigation. He checked the corridor, kitchen, laundry room, bedrooms and study room in the building and held a symposium which over 10 students attended.

Prof. NIU introduced to the students on the latest development of the university, asked about their study and life and listened to their suggestions. The students talked about their life on campus, including study, cultural activities, personal relationship, dining and living conditions. They are generally satisfied with the environment. They think that studying here is quite efficient and some even think about studying for master degree here after graduation.

Meanwhile, the students also put forward some suggestions, such as improve the online system so as to let them choose courses easily and perfect bilingual signs on the buildings and roads. Prof. NIU marked the words of the students and talked with staff over the solutions to these problems.

In closing, Prof. NIU thanked the students for their advice and said that the university would improve the management and service system and regulations. It will build for all the students a better environment for studying and living. He also hopes that all of them will study hard and join in all kinds of activities so that they can become professional experts as well as ambassadors in cross-cultural communication.
