College of Overseas Education (COE) mainly deals with:

* Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Education (Joint Programs)

* Joint Cultivation with foreign educational institutes

* International Students (enrollment, cultivation and management)

* Teams of teachers who deliver courses to international students on Chinese language and culture

* Student exchange between NanjingTech and other universities

* Language training for all kinds of exchange programs

For Chinese Students

COE has always been developing high-quality Joint Programs based on the strengths of Nanjing Tech University (NanjingTech). It seeks to cooperate with famous foreign educational institutions so as to provide Chinese students with foreign educational resources and introduce advanced teaching and management experience.

So far, COE has 6 joint programs with over 1000 students on campus. It cooperates with the University of Sheffield (UoS, UK) in Chemistry, Financial Mathematics and Materials Physics; and with Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin, Ireland) in Pharmaceutical Science, Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Each joint program features "3+1" mode, double-campus and dual-degree. After over a decade, this mode has already been recognized and spoken highly of by the students, parents and universities. In recent years, more than 90% of the graduates of joint programs have received offers for further study. By the end of June 2019, over 700 students in all have got offers from the top-100 universities in the world for Master or PhD degree study.

Since 2019, COE has launched "1+2+1" dual-degree joint cultivation program with Eastern Washington University (EWU, US) in Finance and Computer Science, and "2+2" dual-degree joint cultivation program with University of Queensland (UQ, Australia) in Electric Engineering and Automatization.

【Note：All the degrees for Chinese students who have met academic requirements are the same as the ones for native students.】

For International Students

Since 1998 when it was qualified to enroll international students, NanjingTech has cultivated about 1000 international students of all kinds and levels over the past two decades. The students come from Russia, UK, Germany, South Korea, US, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, South Africa, etc.

In 2015, NanjingTech began enrolling international students who study for degrees in large scale. By the end of 2019, the number of international students of all levels and all kinds has reached 500, 86% of which study for degrees.

Now it offers 7 Bachelor-degree programs with courses delivered in English, 13 Bachelor-degree programs with courses delivered in Chinese, 16 Master-degree programs and 6 PhD programs, covering engineering, science, arts, economics and management.

The past few years have witnessed the rapid development of international students' cultivation in NanjingTech:

* In 2015, NanjingTech was authorized to set up one test center for HSK.

* In 2016, NanjingTech became one of the target universities of "Study in Jiangsu" program after approval.

* In 2018, NanjingTech was qualified as one of the universities of "Talent Selection Program for International Students to Study in Jiangsu".

NanjingTech also takes part in the educational cooperation and exchange with countries alongside the "Silk and Belt" regions. For example, it has established a joint cultivation program for international students with Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) since 2018.

For international students, COE has established a cultural training base with Jinling Library. It also has a softball team, dragon and lion dance team, Tai Chi team and offers abundant cultural activities on campus, such as "international cultural festival", "Chinese culture festival", "food festival", "I love learning Chinese", etc. All these have helped them fit in quite well and lead a better experience of studying and living in NanjingTech.

In the future, COE will keep building the brands of "joint program/cultivation" and "international students' cultivation" with its own features so as to cultivate talents with professional skills, global vision and cross-cultural communication skills. COE will contribute to the course of building NanjingTech into an entrepreneurial university with reputations at home and abroad.
