“Closed not suspended, no boundary for learning Chinese”

In response to the outbreak period “Closed not suspended” guaranteeing foreign students Chinese learning uninterrupted. College of Overseas Education carried out a diversity of Chinese learning activities to address the specificity of epidemic prevention and education for overseas students.

During the outbreak, almost 300 international students of our school had to stay in their own countries are from Asia, Europe, Africa and other continents. The time zone, equipment, network , the level of student’s Chinese and so on brought the Chinese learning many difficulties. In order to ensure the smooth operation of the online lesson to the international students, college kept trying their best to solve those problems faced by the students when they certificated in the Superstar, MOOC and other online platforms under the guidance of the Teaching Affairs Office. Chinese teachers of every course placed classes for each student and established WeChat group to guide them in online lessons. In view of students who are unable to participate in online learning, teachers managed to contact with them through a variety of mediums to ensure their learning without interruption.

College had carried out “The Most Beautiful Notes, The Best Assignments” to enrich students life and motivate the enthusiasm for Chinese learning . It showed the determination of international students to learn Chinese better . Many students showed their imaginations and combined Chinese learning with personal experience through shooting videos. In this totally new way, students are interested in learning Chinese’s been significantly improved and their online learning efficiency enhanced.
