On the evening of December 27, the 2018 Student Commendation Conference of the College of Overseas Education was held in the Report Hall of the Library. The Secretary of the Party Committee Tong Zhengquan, the Deputy Deans of the college Luo Xiaochun and Wang fei as well as the heads of relevant sections of the college participated in the conference with more than 300 Chinese and international students.

The Deputy Deans Luo Xiaochun and Wang Fei read out the Decision on the Commendation of Advanced Collectives and Advanced Individuals in the College of Overseas Education of Nanjing Tech University, in which the advanced collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the past year were commended. Sheng Yujie, Zhang Sujing, and an international student Ray, as representatives of advanced collectives and individuals, shared their learning experience and understanding.

At the meeting, the Secretary of the Party Committee Tong Zhengquan congratulated the commended collectives and individuals on behalf of the college and put forward three requirements to the Chinese and international students in the college: firstly, they should develop a good sense of faithfulness and be a college student who adheres to principles; secondly, they should develop a good sense of rules and be a college student who observes discipline; lastly, they should develop a good sense of public welfare and be a college student who is willing to contribute. He asked all students in the college to further correct their style of study, take exams seriously and improve their work style so as to show a look of students of the College of Overseas Education in the new era.

“When the Great Tao prevailed, the whole world was one community.” Finally, Secretary Tong quoted the famous phrase in The Book of Rites to encourage students to be honest, uphold fairness, maintain orders and be a college student with both morality and ability.
