防诈骗小课堂(十四)- Be careful of scams from so-called senior students
阅读次数:     发布时间:2024-10-30

The video brings us a case of fraud by impersonating a senior student.

With the popularity of social media, trading activity on campus has become more frequent, and there is no shortage of exciting deals.

Pretending to be a senior is a scam that students often encounter. These "seniors" seem to be enthusiastic, approaching new students through social media, offering second-hand deals at attractive prices. However, once the deal is made, the victim may only get a worthless item, such as a broken tablet, and the scammer will disappear.

If you encounter a suspicious situation, be on high alert when faced with a sales pitch or invitation from a stranger, and don't trust it easily. For those who claim to be seniors, teachers, counselors, etc., you should be verified through formal channels.

For people who sell products or services, firmly refuse and don't buy because of the embarrassed. Do not fill out personal information forms or scan unknown payment codes to avoid revealing personal information.

Once you find that you have been deceived or encounter suspicious situations, you should report to the school security department or the local public security organ in time.
